The Plumber Pole is a modified fishing rod built by Kooky von Koopa, which is capable of being cast through a series of Warp Pipes, hooking a Mario brother, and pulling him back through the pipes.
In The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3 episode "Oh, Brother!", Kooky, who was in an underground dungeon, used the Plumber Pole to retrieve Mario from the Mushroom Kingdom. After locating Mario on the Koopascope, Kooky casted the Plumber Pole through a pipe, where it found its way through the Pipe Maze, and into the Mushroom Kingdom where it hooked onto Mario. Kooky then used the Plumber Pole to pull Mario back through the pipes, and brought him all the way to the dungeon.
