It was absent in Mario Kart: Double Dash!! but it made a reapearance in Mario Kart DS and Mario Kart Wii as a cup with tracks from past Mario Kart games. The emblem of the cup is the Thunderbolt. It features tracks from the previous cups: the Flower Cup, the Lightning Cup (Mario Kart: Super Circuit), the Star Cup, and the Special Cup. The following tracks appeared in the Lightning Cup.
