The Double Jump is a move used in Super Mario 64, Super Mario 64 DS, Super Mario Sunshine, the Super Smash Bros. series and New Super Mario Bros.. The player must simply Jump twice in a row to use it. It can be used to reach high places. It is the same as a Jump, but a bit higher. All four characters can use it in Super Mario 64 DS, and most of the the characters in Super Smash Bros. and its sequels Super Smash Bros. Melee and Super Smash Bros. Brawl can. It can also be used in New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Super Mario Galaxy, and Super Mario Galaxy 2.
It is noticeably one of the few jumps the player can use while standing still.
