Lightning Rods are items in Mario Kart Arcade GP that are used very differently if compared to other items(Four other items are used the same way, the High Beam, Hammer, Star, and 10T Hammer). It is used by pressing the item button (which starts swinging the rod) and touching the opponent(which whacks the opponent). It also has a limited time use. Unlike the Star, the High Beam, Hammer, 10T Hammer and Lightning Rod doesn't increase speed.
