Stompybot 3000 is the seventh boss in the game Donkey Kong Country Returns. It is the boss of the Factory area. Stompybot 3000, controlled by Colonel Pluck, is seen stomping on bananas from Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong's Banana Hoard. The bananas secrete a special substance, that when it comes in contact with masks, they are transformed into Tikis. Colonel Pluck is doing his job until a Tiki possesses him to fight the apes.
Appearance
Colonel Pluck is a chicken that wears goggles. Stompybot 3000 is a giant, white egg-shaped robot with a glass dome. On both sides, it has another egg-shaped structure with orange mechanical chicken feet. A giant clock with a red frame shaped like a C is found on the middle of his robot. Directly attached to the underside of the bot is a set of sharp spikes.
Attacks
For the first phase, Stompybot 3000 walks around the stage. The duo must make their way under the Stompybot. Occasionally, it will run across the screen quickly. Sometimes, Colonel Pluck will lift the bot into the air and then perform a ground pound on the ground. However, if the bot spins in the air, it will split open its legs and reveal green chains which Donkey Kong can grab onto. While the green chains are out, very rarely will Colonel Pluck try to trick the apes by just scratching the floor with his mechanical feet, which Donkey and Diddy Kong can not go under. If DK takes too long to damage the robot, it will release some flames.
During the second phase, the colonel will send in some Buckbots which are inside of eggs. Donkey Kong must rid of these so he has enough room to avoid Colonel Pluck from trying to smash him from above.
Combat
Template:Spoiler To defeat the Stompybot 3000, Donkey and Diddy will need to wait until it shows its green chains. When it does that, Donkey Kong should grab onto it and start punching the Stompybot. After DK does this three times, Colonel Pluck will go into a machine and send in eggs. DK must dodge his attacks and stomp on Colonel Pluck three more times. After this, the Tiki will release itself from its body, whom Donkey Kong will send flying. Template:Endspoiler
Trivia
- Colonel Pluck already seems to be hypnotized before the Kongs even met him. This was probably need so he would, with the Stompybot 3000, stomp the bananas for the Tikis. He was hypnotized again to defeat the simian duo.
