La Bomba is a 1 vs. 3 mini-game in Mario Party 7. Its name is Spanish for "the bomb", but is also a pun on the Puerto Rican dance, Bomba, and possibly on the Ritchie Valens song, La Bamba.

One character is on a large platform with moving switches that release Bob-ombs. Rarely, a Goomba will appear on the conveyor belts on the sides, instead of a Bob-omb. The other three characters are in a small area with spikes in the middle. The lone character has to Ground-Pound on the switches to release the Bob-ombs contained in the boxes below them; the gray boxes hold only one Bob-omb, the green boxes hold two, and the red boxes hold four. The three remaining have to avoid being blown up by those Bob-ombs and avoid those spikes on the stage. If the one player can eliminate all of their opponents within the thirty second time limit, they win. Otherwise, the team of three will win instead.
