A special logo has been released to celebrate the 25th Anniversary, and was used in the game.[3]

A red package sporting the 25th Anniversary logo contains both the game disc and the extras.[4]

On the Wii's Nintendo Channel as well as at the websites for the anniversary, there is a video celebrating the 25th Anniversary in all regions. The video uses game footage from the Japanese versions, but the differences to the English releases are minimal.[5] Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels is only featured in the Japanese version of the video.

Trivia

  • It is likely that the reason Super Mario All-Stars was the chosen game for re-release on the Wii is because it has never been available on the Virtual Console.
