Template:Infobox A new Paper Mario in development by Nintendo will be an upcoming RPG for the Nintendo 3DS. As the fourth installment in the Paper Mario series, it is the first Paper Mario title to be released for a handheld console.

Gameplay

After foregoing the classic battle system in favor of a platformer-style one in Super Paper Mario, Paper Mario 3DS returns to the turn-based system from the first two installments. A screenshot shows Mario's original Jump and Hammer commands, with a redesigned layout for the system's touch screen. Partners also return after being replaced by the Pixls, with screenshots showing a new Chain Chomp partner at Mario's aid. One screenshot also shows an outlined object in the overworld, suggesting that players have to move certain objects around the screen to solve puzzles to advance through the game.
