Tumble is the host of Mario Party 3, instead of Toad. Tumble's appearance is, however, similar to that of a toad. He differs from toads in that his arms and legs on are invisible, creating the appearance of floating, disembodied hands and feet . Also, instead of a Mushroom Cap, Tumble has a die.
Tumble is mysterious in that depending on the location of the Star, Tumble's expression changes. There is no explanation for this, and it serves no purpose in the game.
At the end of the game, it is revealed that Tumble was the Millenium Star in disguise.
Tumble reappears in Mario Party Advance, this time in charge of the mini-games.
