Yoshi is about to win five extra lives in Scratch and Match
Scratch and Match is a Bonus Challenge that involves luck in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island and Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3. It involves scratching cards to get 1-Ups. In Yoshi's Island DS, this mini-game is just known as Scratch but was still the same concept.
Scoring Chart
- 3 Toadies – Nothing
- 1 Baby Mario – 1-Up
- 2 Baby Marios – 2-Up
- 3 Baby Marios – 5-Up
The card the player will get after scratching the card are randomized. There are four Toadies and three Marios in the level. The hand would either scratch up, down, make a cross then scratch, or sideways. In the DS sequel, the player can scratch it off by using the Touch Screen stylus.
