Confused is a status ailment from Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. It is indicated by an orange spiral above the victim. Also, Mario and his partner may disobey commands put in by the player, such as switching partners instead of attacking, defending instead using an item, etc. It is very similar to the Dizzy ailment.

Vivian's Infatuate attack can Confuse enemies but not bosses.
