Interesting... very interesting.
I'm experimenting here with the interwiki redirect system, by the way. Don't think I'm trying to screw with the wiki in a bad way.
Anyway. Apparently no matter which site you come from, the redirect loop ends here. Go on, try it over on the other two parts of NIWA. This will prove very incredibly useful to the grand central wiki; no need for a tiny-ass page and a "main article" thing. Just redirect! Lovely! TTEchidna 02:36, 31 January 2010 (EST)
- Though that may be because no one checked the "is local" box... <<; Someone do so plz? See what this'll do? TTEchidna 02:37, 31 January 2010 (EST)
- Wikis automatically stop at one redirect to prevent fatal loops. It's a part of the software and cannot be overridden.ZW Neo 03:17, 31 January 2010 (EST)
- You sure about that? Because my userpage doesn't auto-redirect. I know there's the auto-stop after one or two on some wikis, but among several? TTEchidna 22:30, 31 January 2010 (EST)

Interesting indeed... I have a comment about your talk page reidrect, Im not sure if that is very convinient, because, what if someone wants to contact you here? Someone who hasnt got ZW or BP account. Anyways, its your choice, Im just giving a comment :) --™ The 'Shroom 16:52, 3 February 2010 (EST)
- Well, we at BP plan to put in the OpenID addon soon enough... and if you guys do too, then all three of the NIWA originals will have it ready to go, and we'll pretty much have no issue with logging in on BP/ZW/SMW, since everyone will be able to. TTEchidna 22:54, 5 February 2010 (EST)
what the hell is a spipoopy ? uper-Yoshi
- also to get the redirect to work, im pretty sure you need a template, check out the wikipedia one. uper-Yoshi
Delete??
Shouldn't we delete this since this is a redirect loop?? Red Shell 68066vr (talk)
- No, as it's a test. It is trying to make it so each wiki can redirect to another. This one doesn't work though. Turtwig A (talk | contribs) 13:08, 6 February 2010 (EST)
- Well if it doesn't work, it should be deleted or fixed so it does. Right now, it seems like nobody is working on it. As of now, it's listed as a Double Redirect; We don't like those. Marcelagus (T • C • E)
- It works at bulbapedia and ZeldaWiki. It seems like this is the only one not redirecting. Turtwig A (talk | contribs) 21:01, 11 February 2010 (EST)
- I think I figured it out. In the other two, if you search smw:Mario/bp (or bulbapedia as it is here):Pikachu/zw (or ZeldaWiki as it is here):Zelda, it would directly go to those pages. However, if you did it here, it wouldn't. See this

[1] and compare it by entering smw:Mario on the other wikis. I think there is some coding that allows you to do that. Turtwig A (talk | contribs) 08:26, 15 February 2010 (EST)
Delete Spipoppy
Template:SettledTPP Don't DELETE 1-4
This is a double redirect fatal loop. Fatal Loops are bad. The test doesn't work, so we should delete it.

Delete
- KS3 (talk) This is getting annoying.
Maybe I should put the TPP template in.Update: They deleted Spipoopy already so that should explain why. Try with like Turtwig or something.
Wait for test to work
- Reversinator (talk) This is a test being used by the mods. You can't just delete testing pages.
- Turtwig A (talk) I agree. Why so impatient? While it is true hasn't worked for over a month, there could be other possibilities. Myy idea from the above section hasn't been tried yet, or at least, to my knowledge so it could be the way. Turtwig A (talk | contribs) 18:25, 25 February 2010 (EST)
- Walkazo (talk) - Until NIWA is finished with our testing, this page should stay. It's a small price to pay for the ability to redirect between the three largest independent Nintendo wikis.
- Tucayo (talk) - Per all.
Comments
It's the same on Wikipedia. I went onto wikipedia, typed smw:Talk:Spipoppy and it came out as a search result. KS3 (talk)
- I'm pretty sure wikipedia doesn't need to actually link to the Super Mario Wiki directly in many cases. However, smw is affiliated with bulbapedia and Zelda Wiki, and if you type smw:Talk:Spipoopy onto those wikis, it comes here. I think this means that those wikis treat the links as something like [[Super Smash Bros. Brawl]] there and is most likely what makes the redirects work. Like I said above, I'm pretty sure there is some coding that allows the wiki to do that. Turtwig A (talk | contribs) 21:02, 26 February 2010 (EST)
Zelda Wiki
I went to the Zelda wiki and typed in smw:User talk:KS3 and it redirected to the Super Mario Wiki. I don't know why it doesn't work here. KS3 (talk · contribute)
PS: I wonder if it works with Wikipedia too.
I think it might do something with that new NIWA thing. I doubt it works on wikipedia. Fawfulfury65
- It doesn't work on wikipedia. This is what I was talking about above in the "Delete??" section. Turtwig A (talk | contribs) 21:02, 26 February 2010 (EST)
Pending deletion
Spipoopy is pending deletion now. KS3 (talk)
Reason Why this is not working
Hello? The reason why this redirect doesn't work is because the Bulbapedia one redirects to the Zelda wiki one, therefore resulting in a double redirect. I can prove that it works right here: bulbapedia:Pikachu KS3 (talk)
Why is this here
Why is this here?? It redirects to the bulbapedia article Spipoopy, which redirects to the zeldawiki article Spipoopy, which is deleted. We already can link to bulbapedia via the interwiki links. KS3 (talk · contribute) 11:38, 7 May 2010 (EDT)
- it's already deleted uper-Yoshi
