Template:GBoss-infobox Fire Gobblegut is a secret boss hidden in the Battle Belt Galaxy in Super Mario Galaxy 2. He is fought in the mission, "Snacktime for Gobblegut". He is a harder version of Gobblegut from Bowser Jr's Fiery Flotilla.

Appearance

Mario battles Fire Gobblegut.

He has several major changes to his body from his normal form. First, his skin color changes from a spring green to a lava red. Not only that, but also the fact that his body radiates heat, burning Mario at touch. Also, he has an additional ulcer for Mario to break.

Strategy

The powered-up Gobblegut may be stronger, but he is fought in the same exact manner. This time around, though, wherever he bites down on the planet, a pool of lava appears. When a handful of ulcers are left, Gobblegut starts to spit out fireballs at Mario, creating pools of lava where they land.

Trivia

  • Fire Gobblegut is similar to Fiery Dino Piranha, in the sense that both are fiery variations of bosses encountered earlier in their respective games.
