Pirate Gooms are black and white Gooms that hold spears in Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3. They pace back and forth in most of the levels and make an easy kill. Their spears are pointed forward so obviously don't hit them from the front.
Because of their apparent lack of a body, they are probably related to the Super Mario World Goomba variety.
