Starship Mario

The Starship Mario.

Starship Mario is a Mario-head-shaped planet in Super Mario Galaxy 2 used to travel across the universe. Although notably smaller than the previous games' hub areas, it serves as the hub of the game and has, more or less, replaced the Comet Observatory from the first game. Other than its smaller size, another difference from the Observatory is that it also has changing backgrounds, the appearance of which depend on the world that it is currently in.

While on the Starship, Mario is capable of exploring and interacting with various non-playable characters, including Lubba and the Assist Luma. There are few characters there at the star but Other characters, like Hungry Lumas, he Toad Brigade, Bob-omb Buddies and even Rosalina will appear as certain stars are collected or special conditions are met. Much like Delfino Plaza from Super Mario Sunshine, Mario can also ride Yoshi here, and the egg which contains him is located on the "nose" of the starship after collecting a star in Yoshi Galaxy. Other power-ups appear appear, both in a display case and out for use, after certain stars featuring their use are met. New areas are also added in much the same way, most coming with various characters or power ups and almost all of them offer at leas one 1-up Mushroom.

The starship's main purpose, though, is to allow Mario to travel between and select galaxies to visit. To leave the starship and go to the world map, one must step up to a ship's wheel near the top, in front of which is a small weight-activated button. When pressed, the button sends the player to the world map, from where they can select galaxies.

1-UP Locations

Below are the locations of every 1-UP mushroom on Starship Mario

• 1) The Starshroom
• 2) Get Yoshi and use swing flowers to go up to a planet full of fruits, eat all the fruits and you will automaticly get a 1-UP
• 3) Chance Cube. Located to the Lower Right of the nose
• 4) Once green pipe on right ear is obtained go in and give a Luma 30 star bits and it'll transform into a chance cube
• 5) Once obtained, get cloud mushroom on forehead of Starship Mario. then go to the back and stand on the middle exhaust hole. do a backwars jump and make a cloud three times to go up to a cloud and get 1-UP.

Starbit Locations

• 1) Yellow Luma near teleporter to Starshroom (6 Star Bits)
• 2) Fruits on planet only yoshi can get on. eat a fruit and 1 Starbit wit pop up (10 Star Bits)
• 3) Chance Cube
• 4) Green Pipe
• 5) Co - Star Luma SPIN ALL LUMAS ON SHIP. 3 STAR BITS WILL POP OUT!
