Gold Goombas [1] are golden variants of Goombas that appeared in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars and some Mario Party games.
In Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, Golden Goombas appeared in the Goomba Thumping mini-game found in the Pipe Vault.
In Mario Party 7, Golden Goomba appeared in the Royal Rumpus mini-game. Here, they give out more points than a normal Goomba. They also appear in the Mario Party DS mini-game "Goomba Wrangler", where they are worth three points; regular Goombas only give one point.
