Wonky Circus is a circus-gone-wrong that Wario must travel through to get back his treasures. The circus has been credited with a city-like theme, because there's always some kind of action going on on the screen, and the backround shows many buildings.

There are many obstacles in Wario's path through this level, including Clown Cannons that fire Clown Missiles, flamethrowers, hordes of enemies, and a small bowling mini-challenge. The boss of this level is Clown-a-Round.

Seven of Wario's Treasures in this area are musical instruments. The eighth treasure being a Nintendo 64.
