Fire Rod are a fireball stick found in fortresses in Super Mario Bros.. Although not a living enemy, they go swinging around trying to hurt Mario or Luigi.

They appear in later Mario games such as New Super Mario Bros. and Yoshi's Island DS.

Their official name is unknown. Many other names include "Firebar", "Fire Rope", "Firesnake", "Flame Chain" and "Fire Windmill".
