Goombules are a type of cell-based Goombas found inside the Trash Pit and Pump Works areas of Bowser in Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story. Goombules have an egg- yolk shaped body with an orange core in the center. They attack by ramming either Mario or Luigi. When Mario and Luigi practice one of their Attack Parts moves, the targets will be Goombules. They are the first, and weakest enemies Mario and Luigi encounter as a team, and ultimately the weakest enemies in the game. Goombules can be beaten by any of Mario and Luigi's attacks.
Its name is a pun on "Goomba" and "globule".
