Welcome on Edo's talk page. I'm glad that you somehow ended up here :3 It would be nice if you leave me a message. I'll be happy to read your stuff.

Just a little rules so we can have a nice talk:

 1. Swear your allegiance to King Bowser
 2. No funny hats
 3. No nosepicking
 4. Be polite towards me and towards each other
 5. Try to type properly (I won't go grammar-nerd on you but please make it understandable)
 6. I understand German, but it is likely that I will answer in English nevertheless
 7. No flaming, unless you have a Fire Flower!

Welcome-Thingy

I will keep that, because I'm kinda nostalgic :3

Caps

HI! Nice to meet you! Capitalizing titles is a format rule in this wiki, I saw that the game doesn´t capitalize it, but here, we must capitalize al titles :/ --tucayosz9se5.png(talk) The 'Shroom 10:46, 23 August 2009 (EDT)

Congrats!

Youre doing a great job on the Wario Land 2 levels! Keep up the good job! --tucayosz9se5.png(talk) The 'Shroom 18:17, 25 August 2009 (EDT)

Re: Bowser, Mario, Timelines and stuff

Thanks for your support! And don't worry: unless you tried posting personal opinions on mainspace, it's not considered spam. Also, thanks for all the work you've been doing on the Wario Land 2 levels - we need all the help we can get when it comes to Wario (and Donkey Kong) information. Just a couple pointers: always use gender-neutral pronouns when referring to the "player" (instead of "he", use "they"), and instead of using "<br>" to separate paragraphs in an article section, use two normal line-skips (it makes it easier to differentiate between the paragraphs). For the infobox, you don't need the space between the "=" and the before/after level links (you already don't use the space for the other headers, though, which is great); also, you don't need a "<br clear=all>" at the bottom if there's no navigation templates. These are all obscure little things, though, so don't sweat not knowing them: you're doing a great job! - Walkazo 18:18, 26 August 2009 (EDT)

I went through a bunch of your level articles, and there were only one or two spelling mistakes per page - I've seen native English speakers do much worse! I'm terrible at spelling in my only second-language (French) - if I didn't have a dictionary handy, I wouldn't ever try writing in it on the Internet. I noticed you added yourself to MarioWiki:Babel; that's great, however you forgot to add the levels at which you can speak your languages (you should have "", and "" (we're getting rid of level 5 soon)). Once you're around for a little while longer, you'll get more familiar with our coding (I hope you stick around - so many great users leave after only a couple weeks...). <br clear=all> is hard to explain; it basically pushes everything below it down in order to prevent things from overlapping or getting over-crowded. For example, compare Chocolate Island (no <br clear=all> means the image goes side-by-side with the infobox above it) and Chocolate Secret (<br clear=all> means the templates go below the infobox). If you still don't get it, that's okay: I still run into codes that I have no clue about! - Walkazo 20:41, 26 August 2009 (EDT)
No worries: I only had to make a few changes to each page, which is the sort of maintenance work I enjoy the most. Choose whatever level you feel is best for you - if you think you'd be better placed in Level 3 English, then by all means, make yourself a Level 3. - Walkazo 22:18, 26 August 2009 (EDT)

Wow, another one!!!

Well, first of all hi! Good to meet you. You seem to be pretty cool. Of course me saying that doesn't mean much.... Well, I'm happy to see another German. User:Time Q and User:Cobold are German too. I'm not German, but my family has a big German past, so I know some German and all that. See you around. Luigifreak (talk)

Wario Land

Hello, great job on the Wario Land II articles! :-) It's nice to see that someones takes care of them, keep up the good work! There aren't many users who work on Wario series articles, sadly. By the way, do you have a clue where all the enemy names for Wario Land II (and other classic games of the series) come from? The Wario Land manuals only name very few, I think most of those used on the wiki aren't official and should be marked as "pure conjecture". --Grandy02 14:55, 31 August 2009 (EDT)

Wow, I didn't await that Nintendo's consumer service would ever answer such a special question! Thanks for your effort! Hm, those are really generic names, but they go in line with the other simple names mentioned in the manual and the game (Cook, Giant Snake, Giant Bee, Punch and so on). It seems that the names refer to the following enemies:

 • Ape - Malletape (article is only about the Wario Land 4 version which is clearly not the same, it doesn't even look like an ape)
 • Bee - I don't think they should be merged with Beezley (they are very similar, but the same goes for many other enemies throughout the Wario Land series, such as Pirate Goom/Mask-Guy/Spearhead/Spear-Mask, yet they are differently named, same can be said about Donkey Kong Country series enemies)
 • Cook
 • Duck - Dangerous Duck
 • Flame - Cigarrat? (anyway, "Cigarrat" can't be official at all, they wouldn't make a reference to cigarrates and censor alcohol at the same time, and they look like foxes rather than rats to me, plus I doubt they smoke cigarrates, lol)
 • Ghost - Ghastly
 • Grunt - no article yet (there are wrong links to Grunt)
 • Penguin - no article yet (there are wrong links to the generic Penguin)
 • Punch
 • Rooster - Chick
 • Spear guy - Spear Man/Pirate Goom (there's even a third name for them?)
 • White puff - Er, not sure, maybe Inflatoblob (I wonder if this name is official?)?
 • Wizard - Wizard Goom
 • Zombie

Aside from "White puff" and maybe "Flame" (but who else should it be aside from "Cigarrat"), it is clear which name refers to which enemy. But I don't know if this mail is enough to convince other users to accept these names as official? I noticed in the Japanese Wikipedia that they have Japanese names for almost all Wario Land series enemies, but since it's a wiki, I don't know if they are official, either. There have to be names, though, since there are guide books for all WL games in Japan (except for the Virtual Boy one), but I don't know any user here who could confirm them. Anyway, in my opinion the names from the mail can be used, they are surely more official than the ones from the fan-written FAQs. There are still many wrong links to Mario games enemies in both the WL2 article and in its template. --Grandy02 12:25, 4 September 2009 (EDT)

I understand why the fan named them "Cigarrats", I just don't think that they actually smoke cigars as the article implies. If something is a stub or not depends on the topic. If there isn't more to write about the WL enemies, it is how it is, so even a short article isn't always a stub. For more missing enemy names, this site might be useful. It contains a list of Wario Land II puzzles in the Japan-only Picross NP. It matches with the names that are listed in the Japanese Wikipedia and this dictionary:

 • Chūta (チュウタ) - the red rat
 • Inamazu (イナマズ) - Bugzapper, the name comes from inazuma (electricity) and namazu (Amur catfish), when looking closely, they really look like walking fish, look at the "tail fin"
 • D-Bat (Dバット) - Grab Bat and Smash Bat, those could be merged
 • Tsuriuo (ツリウオ) - Fishing Fish
 • Hikitsune (ヒキツネ) - Flame/Cigarrat, the name confirms that it is a fox (hi + kitsune lit. "Fire Fox")
 • Big Kamukamu (ビッグカムカム) - Stonefish
 • Stove - I don't know where this is name from, doesn't appear in the list. I'm also not sure which enemy is actually seen in the screenshot next to A, can you recognize it?

--Grandy02 14:40, 8 September 2009 (EDT)

*sigh* Yes, it is. XD Anyway, would you mind if I make the corresponding changes (moves and "conjecture" templates) this week? --Grandy02 16:12, 8 September 2009 (EDT)

Thanks

For solving the problem, since the official game page is dead I though there is no other way to find that info, but that you've got may explain everything. I hope this evidence lets the user speechless right now. Thanks again :] ¢oincollctor rsitem209.png

Yeah, sure. Though, in Super Mario Sunshine there are Piranha Plants that look quite similar to Petey's Super Mario Pinball form. You can even see many of them in the mini game Tic Tac Glow. ¢oincollctor rsitem209.png It's curious that only ONE person doesn't think it's Petey in that game, lulz.

Valley of Bowser 4

can you add a picture of that level.User:Lindsayoris15

Indeed

Yes, I am german and a big fan of Graf Knickwitz known as Count Bleck. And, I was also a bit helpless, it took me a long time to learn how to write a message to you. But finally, I have managed it, as you can read. If you like, we can speak german, maybe it would be more easy. And of course, nice to meet you and thank you for your message. User:Knickwitz

Well then, let's speak german.

Also, man sieht sich. Hier ist mal meine Nummer: 405-319-791 Name: Abyssion

User:Knickwitz

better level pictures of Super Mario World

can you add better quality pictures in level Super Mario World like maybe the Red Switch Palace if you think it bad or ok. Vanilla Secret 1, (Ludwig's Castle) the artwork is there but it need the gameplay,

and if anying levels in the game that need better quality pictures you can them if you want to, i hope this is not much for you.

User:Lindsayoris15

Why hello!

Ohai! I see that your already a patroller yes? It's certainly nice to meet you dear user. I'm RAP, and I'm one of the oldest sysops in the wiki; but not that certainly long! Just after the wiki started a year or two later. I haven't heard you a bit since I just came back from school just about 2 days ago. Just by looking at your contributing records, you covered some of the parts of the Wario series. Man! Some people wouldn't even touch the old sections. I don't think they have the old games! Anyway, I see that your a Bowser fan; another rarity, and also the Koopa Troop. It's nice meeting you that you have reached patroller status. RAP.pngRAP... Be sure that you look at my sticky topic at the forums, it's in the admins. I'm doing a project right now.

...which the userpage says it's outdated, forgive me for that; I rather work on my contributions, than excessively updating my stuff. As for the templates, drop by in the topic anytime! The list is updated after I looked over a few templates to make some quick pointers. You should try helping me, if you know the wiki coding indeed. :o Ah yes, a Koopaling fan. I teh Lemmys! :3 Hooktail? Heh heh, dragons are teh rulers yes? And your tattle mentions about you as a dragon. x3 We should make some ideas of working on the wiki a bit more harder, I had some good ideas, but I forgot them... So I wrote the tons of it in a notebook. But I need to tackle the template problem! Help? RAP.pngRAP... Walkazo's a Bowser fan too, as you already noticed. :P

Hi!

What's up? Congrats on becoming a Patroller! I know that's a bit late, but who cares. You're gonna be awesome. You've already done a good job, for some nutcase from Germany :) FK38 Sig Pic.PNG Funky K 38 475.png

Meta Knight is my favorite character in Brawl. He's awesome.
My god, you joined us a week ago and you're already a Patroller? Wow, you must be good...
It says 16 September 2009, so...

I saw some of your Userboxes. They are so funny. You're hilarious.

I wonder why so many of the 'sops and patrollers are from Germany.
Well, neither do I, as long as you're all using your powers for good.

Nice

Nice picture you drew of the final battle in Paper Mario 2. All my favorite characters are also in the audience like Luigi, Wario, Geno, the Koopalings and mallow good job. :)

No, thank you for taking the time to do all the merging and splitting and such. I certainly didn't relish the idea of doing it. >_> - 2257(Talk) 16:27, 26 September 2009 (EDT)
