The Red Insects are nameless enemies in Super Mario Galaxy. They are small, winged creatures with Mandibug-style faces found mostly in the Honeyhive Galaxy and the Gold Leaf Galaxy. When the player approaches, they will most probably flee, after a short period of time they fall onto their backs in fear and are vulnerable to attack. However, if approached as Bee Mario, they unfold their wings and slowly hover after him. This is possibly because they are insects and are therefore attracted to Mario in Bee (another insect) form.
