It first appears in Paper Mario. It deals five damage to all enemies on-screen, and acts as a powered-up version of Thunder Bolt.
Then it reappeared in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. There, it also has a little chance of stunning enemies. It can also be cooked by mixing Shooting Star with a Point Swap, although it's not a best idea.
