Spuds (Japanese: ベイジー Beijī) are round creatures with leaf-like fans on their heads. They only appear in Wario's Woods, where they are the most common enemies in the game along with Squeaks and Fuzzes; they are very easy to defeat as any chain of bombs can destroy them.
Trivia
- Spuds look somewhat similar to the vegetables in Super Mario Bros. 2.
- Spud's name comes from a nickname for the potato.
- In an early scene in Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time, one of the Hammer Bros. actually refers to Baby Mario as a "spud". However, he was not referring to the enemy Spud.
