Baby Luigi is a baby who is [[Baby Mario's brother. Although he is the baby version of Luigi, he has, on occasion, appeared in games like Mario Kart: Double Dash!! alongside his older self. However, the Mario Kart games and Mario sports games do not have any particular order, being spin-offs of the main series, and are not part of the main storyline of the Marioverse. He first appears with his twin during the events of Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, when he and the stork carrying him were captured and held by the evil Magikoopa, Kamek. Fortunatly, they were rescued by Baby Mario (who had escaped abduction) and the heroic Yoshi's. Like his older self, Baby Luigi is voiced by Charles Martinet.
In the recent Nintendo DS game, Yoshi Touch & Go, Baby Luigi was kidnapped again by Kamek's Toadies, thus setting the stage for the game, as Yoshi must fling eggs at the evil Koopas to recue the poor infant. Also, when playing the Multiplayer mode, the second player's Yoshi will be toting Baby Luigi.
Baby Luigi rides along with Baby Mario in Mario Kart: Double Dash!! in the Goo-Goo Buggy and their special item is a Chain-Chomp, and appears in Mario Superstar Baseball on Team Yoshi with Baby Mario ,and a special speed ability.
Baby Luigi, along with his brother Baby Mario and the two older Mario Bros., all have starring roles in the Nintendo DS Mario RPG Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time. In battle, his abilities are, for the most part, indentical to Baby Mario, as neither has any ability that sets the other apart. The co-existence of the infant and adult Mario Bros. is explaned by the fact that they are sent back in time to rescue Princess Peach after a time-travel experiment goes completly awkwerd. After discovering that an evil alien species, the Shroobs, have taken over the Mushroom Kingdom of the past and are holding Peach hostage, the heroic Bro. of past and present must battle the entire extraterriestial entiny, eventually combating their leader, Princess Shroob.
Baby Luigi is one of the kidnapped babies in Yoshi's Island DS, that needs to be saved by the Yoshis and the babies.
Although Baby Luigi is an extreme crybaby, he seems to actually be less cowardly than Luigi.
Mario Superstar Baseball Bio
The younger of the Baby Mario Brothers. After being abducted by Kamek, he was rescued by Yoshi and Baby Mario. If you see him and Luigi in the same game, try to ignore the temporal paradox. Baby Luigi is quick around the bases but he doesn't hit for power. He is, after all, a baby.
