Magnus Von Grapple is a robot that appears under Lord Crump's control in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. He is the boss of Boggly Woods. When Mario and the Punis confront Crump at the entrance to the woods, he climbs into Magnus Von Grapple and attacks them. His attacks include stomping on top of Mario and his partners, shooting out his fists, and stomping the ground to create an earthquake.

Lord Crump steals the Emerald Star in the Great Tree. After he sets off the countdown to the detonation of a bomb, Mario, his teammates and the Punies catches up to him, and Lord Crump fights Mario and his team while inside his newest invention, the Magnus Von Grapple, which can stomp Mario or his partner, shoot his fists out, causing them to be able to attack Mario, and can stomp the ground, creating an earthquake. Upon defeat, Lord Crump drops the Crystal Star and he and the X-Nauts are driven out of the tree. This robot is later replaced by a modified version called Magnus Von Grapple 2.0.
