Athens is the capital city of Greece. Besides Buenos Aires, Sydney, Mexico City and Paris, it is one of the cities Luigi has to visit in Mario is Missing! in order to defeat Iggy Koopa. During the events of the game, Athens is invaded by many Koopa Troopas. The Koopa Troopas stole artifacts from various landmarks in the city, including artifacts from the Erechtheion Temple, Hadrian's Arch, and the Parthenon. Luigi's task was to find the artifacts and return them to their respective landmarks.
