After [[Donkey Kong]] begins annoying various citizens of [[Donkey Kong Island|Kongo Bongo Island]], many begin to question why Donkey Kong must be future ruler.  Following [[Bluster Kong]]'s advice [[Cranky Kong]] decides to have an election, to which the inhabitants agree.  [[King K. Rool]] decides to run, and becomes the front-runner, surprisingly.  He makes various campaign promises; to [[Candy Kong|Candy]] and [[Dixie Kong]], he promises to stand up for women's rights.  For [[Funky Kong]], he promises air-surfing ([[Krusha (character)|Krusha]] picks up Funky's surfboard with Funky standing on it and glides him around.)  Donkey Kong gets nasty during the campaign, and annoys everyone trying to give them all the gladhand.  Donkey Kong makes a campaign promise to Krusha that he will not hit him the next time he tries to steal the coconut.  It is election day.  All the votes are cast.  It is a tie.  K. Rool and Krusha try to steal the coconut.  DK nabs Krusha, and Krusha reminds DK of his promise.  He keeps it.  Krusha makes the deciding vote, much to DK's scorn, that he shall be future ruler.

Plot Synopsis

After Donkey Kong begins annoying various citizens of Kongo Bongo Island, many begin to question why Donkey Kong must be future ruler. Following Bluster Kong's advice Cranky Kong decides to have an election, to which the inhabitants agree. King K. Rool decides to run, and becomes the front-runner, surprisingly. He makes various campaign promises; to Candy and Dixie Kong, he promises to stand up for women's rights.
