The Wikipedia Template creates a box that links to the appropriate page on Wikipedia. This template is not original to the Super Mario Wiki, but rather was originally created for use on Wikitionary and has since been used on many other specialty Wikis such as our own. The template is for use on articles which exceed our scope. For example, Banjo only makes several appearances in the Super Mario series, but makes many more in his own series. This allows interested readers to expand their knowledge further. Another possible use is on articles for subjects which are fictional versions of non-fictional subjects. For example, one could place the template on both Earth and banana.
