An '''Item Crystal''' is an object found exclusively in the game ''[[Super Mario Galaxy]]''. It is a three-layer crystal that can be found in multiple areas of the game. they are weak and can be shattered using [[Mario]]'s [[Star Spin]] move; inside them are items such as [[Coin]]s, [[1-Up Mushroom]]s, and the occasional [[Boost Star]]s. Aside from various Mushrooms or Star Bits, some may contain [[Luma]]s or [[Toads]], which help the player out when they free them. Item Crystals can be found mostly on the first few stages and sometimes near boss', though they can be found elseware. An Item Crystal is an object found exclusively in the game Super Mario Galaxy. It is a three-layer crystal that can be found in multiple areas of the game. they are weak and can be shattered using Mario's Star Spin move; inside them are items such as Coins, 1-Up Mushrooms, and the occasional Boost Stars. Most of these crystals contain Star Bits of which Mario can later feed to Hungry Lumas. Some of these crystals contain mushrooms like 1-Up Mushrooms or Life Mushrooms. Aside from various Mushrooms or Star Bits, some may contain Lumas or Toads, which help the player out when they free them. Item Crystals can be found mostly on the first few stages and sometimes near boss', though they can be found elseware.
