King Dedede's version of Inhale, does not copy an opponent's power. Rather, it is able to suck in more than one opponent, and fires them back out, dealing 10% damage to them. Kirby can gain this ability as well by copying it with his own Inhale move. | |||

Template:Smashbox Inhale is the name of an attack in the Super Smash Bros. series, which can be used by Kirby and King Dedede.
Kirby
Kirby's Inhale attack, which appeared in Super Smash Bros. and Super Smash Bros. Melee under the name Swallow, is his standard special move. When Kirby swallows an opponent, three things may happen. If the player presses the B button, Kirby will copy his opponent's standard special attack in the place of Inhale, as well as receiving one of the several Kirby Hats corresponding with whichever opponent he swallowed. This does not work on the following only:
- Another Kirby (unless that Kirby has a different power)
- Any background enemy in Adventure Mode i.e. Primid, Goomba, Koopa Troopa, Koopa Paratroopa, ReDead, Like Like, Octorok, Topi and Polar Bear.
- Polygons, Wire Frames, and Alloys.
- Bosses
If the player presses the A or Z button, Kirby will spit out the character, doing damage to them. Kirby does not absorb their abilities by doing this. Also, the opponent can break free from Kirby if they rapidly mash buttons.
In the original Super Smash Bros., if Kirby holds an opponent in his mouth, he would be unable to walk or jump until he spits or swallows the enemy. All he is limited to in movement is to turn around. This was fixed in Super Smash Bros. Melee. If Kirby uses his Taunt, he will let go of the power that he gained.
King Dedede
King Dedede's version of Inhale, does not copy an opponent's power. Rather, it is able to suck in more than one opponent, and fires them back out, dealing 10% damage to them. Kirby can gain this ability as well by copying it with his own Inhale move.
