During the Shroob invasion of the Mushroom Kingdom, Spiny Shroopas were ordered to protect the Vim Factory. Upon seeing an intruder, Spiny Shroopas would rush to attack. In battle, a Spiny Shroopa attacks by charging at an opponent. To counter-attack, Baby Mario and Baby Luigi should hit the Spiny Shroopa with their Hammers as the monster approaches. Sometimes, a Spiny Shroopa’s charge attack can poison a Mario brother if it is not countered.
