Appears in Super Mario Party Jamboree
Type Kaboom-Squad minigame

Ball Volley is a Kaboom-Squad minigame in Super Mario Party Jamboree. Its name is a play on "volleyball."

Introduction

The eight players are seen stretching between volleyball nets with Goombas, Koopa Troopas, and Shy Guys in the audience.

Gameplay

Players are split between nets and must bounce balls thrown by a yellow Shy Guy to other players and into a large green basket on the right. Balls come in varying sizes, with larger balls reaching the ground quicker. If a ball misses a player or the player fails to bump it, the ball touches the floor and disappears. For each ball sent into the basket, white balls are worth one point, and smaller gold balls are worth three points. This minigame is split into three rounds, with each round changing the position of the players and increasing the number of balls thrown. After the third round finishes, players are ranked depending on the score:

  • S: 36+ points
  • A: 23–35 points
  • B: 10–22 points
  • C: 0–9 points

Controls

  • Control Stick – Move
  • Single Joy-Con Right Button – Bump/spike

In-game text
