Eely Mouth is an eel that appeared only once in Super Mario Sunshine. Eely Mouth has gingivitis and is the cause of all the pollution in the Noki Bay level. Mario has to use FLUDD to clean Eely Mouth's teeth and in doing so cleaning Noki Bay's water. If the monstrous eel swims up and sucks Mario inside it's mouth, Mario will be spit back out and lose health. Large purple bubbles regularly come out of its mouth, and they are harmful to Mario, but if he sprays them with FLUDD, they will pop into a cluster of smaller regular bubbles that will refresh Mario's air supply without him having to look for Coins.
Eely Mouth has eight teeth total. Four need to be cleaned, and three are rotten and must be extracted. This happens automatically when Mario cleans the tooth. One special tooth is golden when cleaned. Upon finishing the job, Eely Mouth retreats, leaving its golden tooth which turns into a Shine Sprite. Mario also gets 20 Coins in the shape of a heart.
There are a pair of eyes on both sides of the mouth; one pair appears to be male, and the other female. Eely Mouth lives in a massive underwater chamber below Noki Bay.
In Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour, Eely Mouth's name appears on the scorecard. One has to imagine how Eely Mouth would be able to golf.
