World 6-6 is the sixth level of World 6 in New Super Mario Bros. Wii. It is unlocked after completing World 6-5. Finding the normal goal unlocks the world's second Enemy Course, a yellow Toad House, and World 6-Castle, while finding the hidden goal unlocks the Warp Cannon.

Layout

This level begins above ground, with a slope leading to a dark underground cavern with lots of water. There is a boat with a light that the player can move by rotating the Wii Remote. Cheep Cheeps and Mega Cheep-Cheeps can be found in the water, which rises or lowers at some points of the level. ? Blocks are found, along with a trampoline on a platform. Platforms made of bricks are found, as well as a POW Block. Warp Pipes containing Piranha Plants are found, along with a brick containing a Star. The midway point is found on a platform. Following this, another trampoline is found, along with a section with Swoops. A P Switch on the ceiling causes Blue Coins to appear, and a Propeller Block is found on a platform. More Swoops are found, and a barrel is found on a platform above. A group of three Fire Bros. is found, along with another barrel. The player then reaches a Warp Pipe, leading to the pole.

Players can run through this level with a Mini Mushroom by dashing across the water.

Star Coins

  • Star Coin 1: Mario and co. must get the POW Block and activate it while the raft is directly under the four coins to the left of the green Warp Pipe with the Piranha Plant. This makes the first Star Coin fall onto the raft.
  • Star Coin 2: Mario and co. must put the trampoline located shortly after the midway point on the raft and use it to obtain the second Star Coin to the left of three Swoops.
  • Star Coin 3: Mario and co. must obtain the Propeller Block and use it to get into the rock passage directly to the right. The third Star Coin is then all the way to the left.

Hidden goal

A hidden goal exists in this level which can be found by entering a red pipe in the area with Fire Bros. The player enters a dark tunnel area with a Glow Block, along with a Swoop swarm. After that area is the hidden goal. This unlocks a Warp Cannon which takes the player to World 8.
