Spine Coaster Stowaways, or Rock-Candy Mines-6, is the sixth level of Rock-Candy Mines in New Super Luigi U. It is unlocked when Smashing-Stone Tower is completed using the Secret Exit, and its completion unlocks Sumo Bro's Spinning Tower.

Layout

The level starts in a mountainous area with a Spine Coaster which Luigi and company must ride to get to the end of the stage. Poison is found at the bottom of the area throughout the level. The Spine Coaster begins with a slope, leading to a section where it dips into the poison. A Big Piranha Plant is found, followed by Brick Blocks and a P Switch on a track. The P Switch causes Blue Coins to appear in the following section, where more slopes and Big Piranha Plants are found. Piranha Plants on Brick Blocks are found, two of which land on the Spine Coaster. A Big Piranha Plant is found, along with some Brick Blocks on tracks that shoot coins into the air. Fire Piranha Plants are found, followed by another section above the poison. After the Spine Coaster track ends, a quick-moving lift is found, along with a Big Piranha Plant and the Goal Pole.

The player also can use the P-Acorn to beat the level without ever riding the Spine Coaster.

Star Coins

  • Star Coin 1: The first Star Coin is found on a separate track moving diagonally.
  • Star Coin 2: The second Star Coin is found below a section of the ground, surrounded by Brick Blocks. The Brick Blocks must either be broken by jumping when under them or pressing the nearby P Switch.
  • Star Coin 3: The third Star Coin is found above some poison in the final section of the Spine Coaster.
