This article is under construction. Therefore, please excuse its informal appearance while it is being worked on. We hope to have it completed as soon as possible.

It has been requested that this article be rewritten and expanded to include more information. Reason: include information on the 2D Super Mario games and a small handful of 3D ones as well

A Spring Jump is a move done on Trampolines in the Super Mario series, Mario vs. Donkey Kong series and Donkey Kong for the Game Boy.

Super Mario series

World C-3
A Super Spring in Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels.

Super Mario Bros. / Super Mario Bros. Deluxe

In Super Mario Bros. a Spring Jump can be done by pressing A with timing on a Jumping Board. This allows Mario to jump over large gaps and walls.

Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels / Super Mario Bros. Deluxe

In Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels a Spring Jump can be done on both the returning Jumping Board and the new green Super Spring. The Super Spring makes Mario or Luigi jump so high that they cannot be seen on screen. World 7-3 and World C-3 require this mechanic extensively.

Super Mario World / Super Mario World: Super Mario Advance 2

Jumping Boards, now known as Trampolines, return in Super Mario World, and Spring Jumps can be done on them. New to this game, Mario's can turn in the air after a Spring Jump is done.

Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3

In Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3, Spring Jumps act exactly like in Super Mario World. They can only be done in the E-reader stages Ice Dungeon and Vexing Doors, as those are the only stages featuring Trampolines.

Super Mario Galaxy / Super Mario Galaxy 2

In Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Galaxy 2, Spring Jumps are now done by Ground-Pounding the Trampoline.

Super Mario 3D World / Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury

In Super Mario 3D World, Spring Jumps can be done on the new trampoline-like Hop-Chop enemy.

Super Mario Maker

In Super Mario Maker, Spring Jumps can be done on Trampolines in all game styles, and they act like they did in Super Mario World.

Super Mario Maker 2

In Super Mario Maker 2 the Hop-Chop enemy is in the Super Mario 3D World game style, and a Spring Jump can be done on them like in the original game.

Donkey Kong (Game Boy)

In Donkey Kong, Spring Jumps can be done on Jump Stands by jumping on them.

Mario vs. Donkey Kong series

The Spring Jump being demonstrated in Mario vs. Donkey Kong

Mario vs. Donkey Kong

The Spring Jump is a move used in Mario vs. Donkey Kong. The move is executed by jumping off a spring with timing, allowing Mario to gain vertical height. Mini-Marios automatically do this move if they need to in order to reach Mario.

Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis

In Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis, the Mini-Marios can do a Spring Jump if they are swiped up ontop of a Spring.
