As far as I can tell, there is nothing that directly states or implies that Bombites are based on/derived from Bob-ombs. Not Nintendo Power, not the Player's Guide, not The Legend of Zelda: Encyclopedia, not The Great Hyrule Encyclopedia, not the instruction manuals. It seems the wiki just assumes the connection exists based on the enemy's design. :To be honest, it's kinda weird that this article exists here anyway. It's a Zelda creature that basically never appeared in a single Mario title, and the only justification for why it gets to stay is... it only appears in Link's Awakening (which we allow an article here since it's regarded as a guest appearance, as it's riddled with actual Mario series cameos), and it kind of resembles a Bob-omb. But that makes one question why Tarin doesn't have an article, since he similarly resembles Mario.<br>The whole thing reminds me of the Togezo being covered on our Spiny article as if it's the same thing too, which I honestly find to be a stretch (though Doc at least gave some justification here). 16:07, July 19, 2024 (EDT) | :To be honest, it's kinda weird that this article exists here anyway. Falls within the scope our coverage?
As far as I can tell, there is nothing that directly states or implies that Bombites are based on/derived from Bob-ombs. Not Nintendo Power, not the Player's Guide, not The Legend of Zelda: Encyclopedia, not The Great Hyrule Encyclopedia, not the instruction manuals. It seems the wiki just assumes the connection exists based on the enemy's design. Axis (talk) 14:37, July 19, 2024 (EDT)
- To be honest, it's kinda weird that this article exists here anyway. But that makes one question why Tarin doesn't have an article, since he similarly resembles Mario.
The whole thing reminds me of the Togezo being covered on our Spiny article as if it's the same thing too, which I honestly find to be a stretch (though Doc at least gave some justification here). rend (talk) (edits) 16:07, July 19, 2024 (EDT)
