Image Name Description
Artwork of a Brick Block in Super Mario 3D World Brick Block The standard block. It can contain items when hit from below or above, and if not, is destroyed if one is in their Super form. If it had an item, it becomes an Empty Block.
Artwork of a ? Block, from Super Mario 3D World. ? Block A common yellow block with a white moving "?" on its sides. Hitting it is guaranteed to contain something, whether it be an item or an enemy. When emptied, it becomes a Empty Block.
Artwork of an Empty Block, from Super Mario 3D World. Empty Block A metallic brown block resembling the ? Block. It appears when a block containing an item is emptied. It is functionally identical to the Hard Block.
Hard Block Hard Block A standard block that typically makes up staircases. It can be destroyed by a Bob-omb explosion, Mega Mario, and some other things. Rock Blocks are the same thing but larger.
Ground icon from Super Mario Maker 2 (Super Mario 3D World style) Ground An unbreakable block that changes appearance based on the environment.
A Springboard from Super Mario 3D World. Trampoline An orange or green spring that when stepped on, bounces the player up. If jumped off of, it will increase the height of the jump.
