A Hot Sauce item can be obtained in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door after completing the Ratooey Businessman's security code trouble after Chapter 6. More can be purchased from the Ratooey for ten coins apiece. The item increases attack power for the user by one point. Unusually, it can be mixed with a Cake Mix to make a Fire Pop.
In Super Paper Mario, player could only get them by buying them at the Itty Bits store in The Overthere. When used, it breifly doubled attack power.
