- —The Goomba Bros., Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door
The Goomba Bros. are a group of five Goombas encountered in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. They are the first opponents Mario challenges in Glitz Pit, where they are known as "The Meteorite Hardheads." They are the only team in the Glitz Pit to consist of five members.
Like most other fighters, they brag about how good they are and talk trash. However, they are simply Goombas and the weakest enemies in the Glitz Pit. The Goomba Bros. prove to be cheaters, taking a swing at Mario before the fight even begins, resulting in an unavoidable First Strike at Mario even if the Chill Out badge is equipped. The Goomba Bros. then say it was a warm up for Mario and that he should be thanking them.
The Goomba Bros. are ranked 19th in the Glitz Pit but will be ranked 20th when Mario (known as The Great Gonzales) defeats them.
