Li'l Boos are The Big Boos that appear in the game Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. They are found in the alternate dimension of Smithy's Factory. Li'l Boos are stronger than The Big Boos, but they share the same attacks. They even have a similar stat layout, with both having high Magic Defense, low Defense, and middling Magic Attack. However, unlike The Big Boos, Li'l Boos' Attack stat matches that of their Magic Defense. A single Li'l Boo, simply named Boo, appears as part of one of Dr. Topper's puzzles in Bowser's Keep. Another appears in the overworld for one of the keep's battle courses, though the battle itself actually features The Big Boos.

Their English name suggests a weaker Boo, but they are much stronger. Furthermore, the weaker Boos in the American version are known as "The Big Boo".
