A Quick Dip in the Sky, or Meringue Clouds-5, is the fifth level of Meringue Clouds in New Super Mario Bros. U and its Nintendo Switch port. It is unlocked via completion of Spinning Spirit House and its own completion unlocks Snaking above Mist Valley.
Layout
The level begins on a Warp Pipe, and a Water Ball is located above, allowing the player to progress vertically. Koopa Troopas and Piranha Plants in Warp Pipes are encountered. More Water Balls are found, along with a group of Koopa Troopas. Coins can be found hidden in a section of the ceiling, as well as a Brick Block containing a 1-Up Mushroom. Three Water Balls are then found rotating around a pair of Big Piranha Plants. The Checkpoint Flag is found, followed by a Red Ring and more Water Balls. Piranha Plants and Fuzzies are found in a section with a large amount of Water Balls. A Warp Pipe is found at the top of the area, and leads to the area with the Goal Pole and a Paratroopa.
Star Coins
- Star Coin 1: Before the Checkpoint Flag, the first Star Coin can be seen moving around the Big Piranha Plants. The player must defeat them to obtain it.
- Star Coin 2: The second Star Coin is found under a group of Paratroopas, inside a fake wall.
- Star Coin 3: The third Star Coin is between two Fuzzies in the last section before the Goal Pole.
