- Randombob-omb4761 (talk) They are from 2 different games, Rocket Dash and Start Dash aren't really the same thing.
- Baby Luigi (talk) Totally not the same thing. Rocket Start is precisely Mario Kart related. The "other appearances" section shouldn't even be there in the first place, as I'll bet that they're totally different and not named "Rocket Start" here.
- LeftyGreenMario (talk) Unless Start Dash involves people with rockets firing from their posteriors, Start Dash and Rocket Start are two different mechanics. The last sentence, I'm not even sure if it's an actual term.
- Scr7 (talk) No. They're not even from the same game, let alone a similar thing.

Both this page and the Rocket Start page describe the same generic act of getting a head start in a race by timing a certain action well during the countdown. No, it being present in multiple unrelated games isn't a reason to keep them split in itself. Aesthetic distinctions the likes of "karts emitting fire through their exhaust during a Rocket Start" aren't a good reason either.
