- “It make me so mad! We build your houses, your castles. We pave your road. And still you walk all over us. Do you ever say thanks? No! Well, you're not going to wipe your feet on me! I think I'll crush you just for fun! Do you have a problem with that? Just try to pound me, wimp! Ha! ”
- —Whomp King, Super Mario 64
The Whomp King is the king of all Whomps and Thwomps, and hates Mario and will try to fall on him. Just before he falls, the player would move out of the way and the player can Ground Pound his back. After being Ground Pounded three times, the Whomp King will be defeated and the player will win a Power Star. Whomp King is located at the top of Whomp's Fortress in Super Mario 64. He returned in Super Mario 64's remake Super Mario 64 DS with a crown.
Whomp King appeared also in Mario Party 3, in the Creepy Cavern. He was lying on the road, and to make him move out of the way, he would be asking for an item that the player needs to give him.
