The Brute is the main non-standard vehicle used by Wario in Mario Kart DS. The kart is a checker-boarded black lowrider, loosely resembling a 1950s or 1960s American two-door sedan, most closely resembling a third-generation Cadillac de Ville. The emblem is located on the hood and back.
It has great speed, average acceleration, weight, and handling, and low drift and items. The Wildlife matches the Brute in weight. It is one of the fastest karts in the game. It also shares its handling with the Light Tripper, its acceleration with the Standard RB, and its drifting with the Dry Bomber. The Brute bears a resemblance to the Wario Car from Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, only black. Wario's artwork in the kart is the same as his Mario Kart: Double Dash!! artwork, though without Waluigi in the back.
For anyone to use the kart, the player must get all gold trophies in 150cc Mirror Mode. When characters get to choose from 7 karts after obtaining gold trophies in every 150cc Nitro or Retro cups, Bowser and Waluigi can use it.
Four similar karts called the Yellow Taxi, Platinum Taxi, Red Taxi, and Rose Taxi appear in Mario Kart Tour, but they are all designed after taxis.
