Shuffleboard Showdown is a 1-vs.-3 minigame in Mario Party DS. It takes place on a shuffleboard with chips that the soloist uses as projectiles. Along with Chips and Dips, this minigame was removed in the Korean release, likely because of its gambling theme.
Gameplay
During the minigame's intro, the players that are on the multi-player team are huddled together in a triangle formation. The soloist throws one of his chips in their direction, but misses, and they take notice, as shown by a bright orange exclamation mark that they each get.
The goal is that the solo player throws chips at the other three players using the touch screen, which displays their character's symbol (Mario, Luigi, Wario, and Waluigi are represented by the symbols on their hats (M, L, W, and a gamma symbol, respectively), Princess Peach is represented with her crown, Princess Daisy is represented with a flower, Toad is represented with a mushroom, and Yoshi is represented with his egg.) in three slots that have chips; the team players meanwhile have to dodge. These chips vary in their colour depending on the soloist's player: player 1 shoots blue chips, player 2 shoots red chips, player 3 shoots green chips, and player 4 shoots yellow-orange chips.
If one of the three touches one, the player that was touched will be knocked off the screen. If all three are off the screen, the minigame ends and the one who threw the chips wins; if there is still at least one of the three players standing, the three win. A chip can also bounce on walls and other chips. At about ten seconds before the game ends, chips begin to fall and drop on the board. These chips do not slide anywhere until dislodged from their spot by other chips.
If the solo player wins, the soloist will appear on a stack of chips and celebrates his victory. If the solo player's rivals win,

In-game text
Solo (1 player)
- Rules – "Trip up your opponents by throwing chips at them. Chips will rebound from walls or other chips, so take advantage of that for surprise attacks."
- Tips – "Bank your shot off walls and other chips to catch your opponents off guard."
Group (3 players)
- Rules – "Avoid getting hit by chips. Watch them carefully, because they'll rebound from walls and other chips. If even one of you survives, you'll all win."
- Tips – "In the last few moments, watch for chips that fall from above. They'll cast shadows on the table, so steer clear of those spots."
