World 2 in New Super Mario Bros. was a desert, like Desert Land. Mario and Luigi crossed this hot desert on their adventure. This is the second time Bowser Jr. was fought in the game.
Mummipokey was located at the end of the desert. If Mario or Luigi defeated him they would go to World 3 however if Mini Mario or Mini Luigi defeated him they would go to World 4.
