The Standard YS is Yoshi's standard kart in Mario Kart DS. It features a green frame, to match Yoshi's green body as well as a stylized Yoshi Egg on the hood for his emblem (unless the player changes it). It has one of the highest accelerations and a high handling, equal to the Cucumber, Poltergust 4000 and Standard SG. It also has average Speed and Weight, and fairly low Drift. The kart shares all its stats with the Standard SG.
Missions mode use
The Standard YS with Yoshi is also used in several different missions, such as Missions 1-3, 1-Boss, 2-2, 3-4, 3-5, 4-2, 5-6, 6-3 and 6-6.
