Like with the second episode, a pier will be placed to the right of the player's starting position, again having Big Daddy and his Blooper Racers on them. This time around, there are six Blooper Racers to choose from and a Red Coin Switch is placed opposite of Big Daddy. Ground Pounding the switch will cause eight Red Coins to appear over the waters of Ricco Harbor, which the player must collect within a time limit of two minutes. There are many obstacles in the water, however, so the player has to be careful not to run into any objects and lose a life. Upon collecting all the Red Coins, the Shine Sprite will appear back on the pier, though the player can easily run into the pier or overshoot it, which may cause them to redo the whole episode again. There is also a trail of yellow Coins the player can use to help them find the Red Coins. The locations of the Red Coins are:

  • The first three Red Coins are grouped between some floating buoys.
  • One is under the helipad.
  • One is behind a group of platforms to the right of the helipad.
  • One is over the submarine the player has to jump to reach.
  • One is under a platform.
  • The final coin is between two boats.
