Template:Minigame-infobox Tree Stomp is a 1-vs-3 minigame in Mario Party 4. The name is a pun on "tree stump."

Introduction

The camera "stomps" through the forest as stomping noises are heard. The solo player is shown getting shocked, and the camera zooms out to reveal the three other players in their tree stump robots.

Gameplay

In the game, the team controls giant tree stump robots modified for movement. There is a ring of spikes at the base of each robot that are lethal to the solo player's touch. The solo player must run around, avoiding contact with the team's machines. If two robots collide, they will crash and malfunction for about two seconds before control is returned. Sometimes, Ukikis will throw banana peels onto the field, causing anyone who touches them to slip. They will also throw golden bananas, which speed up any character who touches them. The solo player wins if they survive for 45 seconds (60 in the early version). The team players win if they eliminate the solo player.

Ending

If the solo player wins, the tree stump robots controlled by the team players break apart, and the camera zooms in on the solo player as they do a winning pose. If the team players win, they do winning poses.
